How to become a volunteer counsellor

Part of the process of becoming a volunteer counsellor for LifeLine/Childline Western Cape is participating in the requisite training courses that our organisation offers throughout the year. These are a 9-week (one three hour session per week) course in Personal Growth, as well as a 9-week course in Counselling Skills. There is a selection process thereafter, for those wishing to become volunteer counsellors for our organisation. Completing the courses and going through Selection, does not guarantee that you will be accepted into our volunteer programme. Alternatively, many individuals choose to do the training without necessarily wishing to become a LifeLine/Childline volunteer.
