LifeLine offers a 24-hour
crisis telephone counselling service, 365 days
of the year. Our trained counsellors are available
to talk to you and listen to you, no matter what
you need to talk to us about. Confidentiality
is the one of the cornerstones of our counselling
process. LifeLine respects your right to privacy
and no information you give us will be divulged
without your permission to do so. If you wish
to be referred to another agency or specialist,
LifeLine can supply you with the details you need
- once again this will only happen if you decide
that this is the course you want to take.
Our counselling is empathetic, non-judgemental
and highly professional. It is also non-directive.
This means that we do not tell you what to do.
We aim to empower you so that you can find lasting
solutions to the crisis or issue that you are
facing in your life.
All of these services are free (however, donations
are always welcome) and are offered at all of
the LifeLine/Childline Western Cape
centres.
All calls to LifeLine are charged at the cost
of a local call if you live within the
Cape Town calling area (021).
